On Friday August 27th the contestants in Mr. & Miss Barbados World 2007 were treated to a day of pampering at The Styles In Motion Beauty Salon thanks to the salon owner Miss Carolyn Giles. Miss Giles has sponsored this event since 2004 and has had the pleasure of working at Barbados Fashion week and numerous fashion events in Barbados. 

Miss Giles is a true professional in every sense of the word. She  personally conducted consultations with the attending contestants and advised them on how they must care their hair. Fabian ensured that the very beautiful nail technician gave him a manicure and Carolyn's assistant Keira gave him a scalp massage (since he has no hair!!). Zeko got his hair washed, treated and braided and boy was he excited (until he was placed under the dryer!!) Ayana was a walk-in hair catastrophe (the million dollar question was what had she done to her hair) however, when Carolyn had finished with her head a miracle had been accomplished (check out the photos you would understand). Sabrina Mayers was told that her hair was dry and breaking but because she was in a rush to get back to work she just got her hair styled and left. Junior (the barber) gave Akil a slick hair-cut and Christopher got a wash & scalp massage. (Check the photos)

The contestants interacted with the visiting clients  who came just to meet them. It was a womderful ambiance where wines, cheeses, sandwiches, chicken, cake, fish-cakes and other tasty delights were served. Everyone knows a salon visit is not complete without a little bit of gossip as contestants and clients discussed who they felt would go through to the Pic-O-De Crop Semi-Finals which took place that very evening. This event was all part of the TV series and DVD produced by ChaseLint Productions BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE.
