It was an evening of unity as Prime Minister The Rt. Hon. Owen S. Arthur, Leader of the Opposition Mr. David Thompson and leaders from many religious denominations gathered at The Sherbouren Conference Centre for a service of prayer to remember the tragic deaths of Cassandra & Donnovere Codrington and their three children who died as their house collapsed into a cave last Sunday.
The Mr. & Miss Barbados World Contestants showed their solidarity by attending the very touching service. In attendance were: Sabrina Estwick, Feloshade John, Karla Yearwood, Natalie Griffith, Sabrina Mayers, Emerald Forde, Fabian Bartlett and Albert Lee. Missing in action without any explanations were: Akil Ifill, Caleb Cooke, Ryan King, Taleah Chandler and Matthew Williams Excused because he had to work was Zeko Springer |

BASHMENT BACCHANAL The count down is on and the drama continues.........well it seems that one particular contestant is of the belief that no-one is entitled to see or comment on the talent which is being done by the said contestant. Apparently the if the technicians are professional they should be able to read his instructions and do as has directed ........ Waloss I tell ya!!! People are still trying to grapple with what that means. Is it that the contestant can do whatever they desire without the producer of the show knowing what is happening on stage or is it that a miracle will be created when the said contestant operates the lighting or sound board in order to ensure that things go as planned for the said contestant's talent. The joke is that this particular contestant who is tired of practicing the routines over and over because it is so monotonous is the one making mistakes...but then again maybe it is being purposely done to off-set the other contestants. According to a fly on the wall some people are just special or maybe the talent is so dymanic if anyone saw it they would be blinded CONTESTANTS BEWARE DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE EACH OTHER EVERYONE IS OUT TO WIN!! DO NOT SLIP UP FOR A MINUTE!!! |

Just to clarify the errors made in Friday 31st August Weekend Nation Edition KARLA IYANA MAVIS YEARWOOD & MATTHEW JOSIAH WILLIAMS are DEFINITELY IN the Mr. & Miss Barbados World 2007 pageant. If anyone read the article it would have implied that only 14 contestants were competed and that is definitely inaccurate. The article also said that there were 9 females & 7 males contestants which was also inaccurate. There are 8 Females & 8 Males competing in Mr. & Miss Barbados World. The event takes place at the Sherbourne Conference Centre on September 15th and not September 14th!! Tickets are available at C.S. PHARMACY for $60.00 any contestant or they can be ordered online at www.missbarbadosworld.com The editor has been notified and we hope to have the errors corrected in an upcoming article. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT |
