The Miss Barbados World beauty pageant selects representatives to the Miss World pageant from Barbados.

The current Franchise holder is Stephanie Chase. She was a former Miss Barbados World having won the title in 2001.

The Next edition of the pageant is scheduled for May 15th 2010 at The Plantation Garden Theatre where a new Miss Barbados World will be selected and will represent the country at the Miss World Competition that same year.

Stephanie Chase, Miss Barbados World 2001 won the first inaugural Miss World Talent Award. This led to her her receiving a 5 year contract from AMI/ SONY CEO ELiot Cohen. She recorded and toured the United Kingdom in 2003.

In 1974, Linda Field represented Barbados in the Miss World Contest at Royal Albert Hall in London, England. At that time, the pageant's representative on the island was Cortez Blackett, a well-known local promoter of events. Linda Fields was a semi-finalist in that year's pageant making Barbados proud.
