Stephanie’s sultry voice encapsulates the versatility that is rare in the music industry today as she belts soft pop infused tones which can easily transfer into the steady groove of Contemporary R&B and soul. Stephanie’s stunning beauty and undeniable charisma has led her to cementing her place in world pageant history when she was awarded the inaugural Miss World coveted the World Talent Award in December 2001. She is an international recording artist having been signed to AMI/SONY and has worked with some of the best musicians and producers the United Kingdom has to offer. She has written tracks for Slovenian pop super stars Rebeka Dremelj and Sebastian. Her career has been very enriching. From Sun City, South African she travelled the globe with recent performances on Pop TV in Slovenia and live performances in Slovakia, Hungary and Russia. Having taken a break to recharge and re-brand her career. Stephanie is in the studio recording her new album; “Just the Beginning” scheduled for release during the summer of 2008. Timeline: 1996 – 1st Runner up in The Alleyne School Pageant 1997 – 2nd Runner up in Holetown Queen of The Festival Pageant 1997 – Won the 2nd Preliminary of The Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competition 1997 – Semi-Finalist in Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competition 1998 - 1st Runner up in Holetown Queen of the Festival Pageant 1998 - Stephanie Chase was the first person to win the inaugural Oistins Queen of the Festival Pageant and she went on to represent the parish of Christ Church at the Parish Ambassadors Gala placing 3rd in the same year. 1998 - she represented Barbados in St. Vincent & The Grenadine for Miss Carival 1998 – Became a member of Night Club & Hotel Band DOUBLE XPLOJUN under the band leadership of Russell Oliver aka RUSTY. Band members included Ronnie Morris, Star Perez, Mario Barnett, Fish, Neil Barnett & Rusty. 1999 - Stephanie was crowned as Miss Le Belles Fills Carnival Queen-Show in St. Georges, Grenada. She won Best Speech, Best Interview, Best Introduction and placed 2nd in Talent. 1999 – Placed 4th in Richard Stoute Teen Talent Finals as part of the duet ESSENCE (with Ronnie Morris) 2000 she represented Barbados at the Jaycees Carnival Queen-Show in Antigua placing 3rd 2000 – 1st Runner up Lucky Horseshoe Restaurant & Saloon Beauty Pageant 2000 – She resigned from Double Explojun & joined FULL SWING and shared lead vocals with Iteebah Cadogan & Cathy-ann Payne. The band was led by Frank James and Leslie Patterson. She resigned from that band after 7 months. 2001 – Stephanie became a member of the Calypso fraternity by becoming a member of The Hit Parade Tent as lead background vocalist & soca artist. She remains an avid member of the planning team to this present day. 2001 she was crowned Miss Barbados World and went on to win the inaugural Talent Award during the Miss World Beauty Pageant in Sun City, South Africa. She was later signed to AMI/Sony formerly Red Bus Recording Studios and has written songs for international recording artists Sebastian and Rebeka Dremelj. She has performed in Belgium, Russia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Scotland and across Europe. She most recently signed on to the Got Rhythm Recording Label and is currently working on 2 singles. 2002 – Won two HIGH Silver Medals at The National Independence Festival of Creative Arts barely missing out on GOLD for her renditions of Don’t Cry Out Loud (originally sung by Melissa Manchester) and Still The One (originally sung by Shania Twain) 2002 – Performed at the NIFCA Awards Ceremony under the patronage of The Rt Hon. Owen Seymour Arthur (former Prime Minister of Barbados). 2002 - Stephanie was appointed as a UNIFEM CARE AMBASSADOR
2003 – European Tour 2004 – began working with international producer Michael MENACE Weeden. 2005 – Elected as Deputy Chair-person of the Christ Church Parish Independence Committee 2006 - Worked with various community groups to sensitive them about HIV/AIDS Awareness 2007 – Wrote National HIV/AIDS AWARENESS song WE ALL MUST LIVE to raise funds for the fight against discrimination of people living with HIV or AIDS. It is now the National Director for – Miss Barbados World, Mr. Barbados World, Miss Earth, Miss Model of the World, Miss Ebony World, Face of the World Super Model Contest, Miss Summer Net, Miss Humanity International. Recently Stephanie has been appointed at Project Manager / Licensor for the Caribbean and South American for the Miss Ebony World Pageant which is based in Abuja, Nigeria and is the Marketing Director of Got Rhythm Inc the Caribbean’s source for authentic Caribbean music.
