INTERVIEW WITH SIMONNE COPPIN
MBW: Describe yourself in THREE sentences.
SIMONNE: I'm very outgoing with a great sense of humor and always willing to try new things. I am always willing to help others once I can. I usually take chances and stand for something that I really believe in.
MBW: What don't most people know about you?
SIMONNE: first passion growing up was art because I loved to draw and design different types of clothing.
MBW: Which THREE songs must be in your I-Pod?
SIMONNE: Boy by Rihanna, Itty Bitty Piggy by Nicki Minaj and Cold Case Love by Rihanna.
MBW: Tell us about your “Beauty With a Purpose” project.
SIMONNE: My project would be mainly directed towards persons living with HIV Aids trying to assist them because it is known that they are usually pushed away by family members and the community. My project will therefore further educate the public so that they will understand that these persons living with HIV Aids need love and support as well.
MBW: What has been your most memorable sunny day?
SIMONNE: Most memorable sunny day was the day before my 17th birthday and my sister took me shopping then my mother got me to ride an ATV for the first time which was very exciting because I always wanted to ride on one.
MBW: If you were invited to participate in the 2010 Italian Fashion Week which internationaldesigner would you like to dress you?
SIMONNE: Chanel because her clothes are very feminine with a hint of sex appeal and a lot of sophistication.
MBW: Tell us about your favorite liming spot.
SIMONNE:My favourite liming spot is Red Rock Lime and Bistro because their dj plays excellent music and their burgers are delicious!.
MBW: What has been your most embarrassing moment? Describe it.
SIMONNE: My most embarrassing moment was when I was exiting the stage in Taboo and I suddenly fell and sat on the floor wondering how I fell.
MBW: What facial products do you use?
SIMONNE: I AM A NATURAL PERSON SO I PREFER TO WASH MY FACE, APPLY LIP GLOSS & EYE-LINER LOL LOL
MBW: Do you diet, work out or just wing it?
SIMONNE: work out but only when I get with my other friends who work out so it isn't as often as I should.
MBW: What is your X factor?
SIMONNE: have a great sense of humor. I love to make other people laugh.
MBW: What is your personal style?
SIMONNE: My personal style is a bit of edgy but fun.
MBW: What is your weakness if any?
SIMONNE: Shopping! I cannot go to town without leaving with a receipt of purchase.
MBW: Where will the Miss Barbados World judges score you highest: interview, talent, swimsuit or gown presentation
SIMONNE: Swimsuit because I consider myself physically fit.
MBW: Why should you be crowned Miss Barbados World 2010?
SIMONNE: I should be crowned Miss Barbados World 2010 because I can relate to a lot of other young women on different levels meaning I have had a very challenging past but I still did everything I could to better myself and to gain my independence at a young age. I am also very interested in assisting where I can with the different issues our community faces today.
MBW: What message you would like to send to the other Miss Barbados World contestants?
SIMONNE: My message would be to never give up on your dreams and when others tell you that you can't, work harder to prove to them that you can.

I really like the message you send to others, there are many people out there who try to get the best of others by telling them they can't make it or be successful in whatever they are doing or pursuing but in life, you have you have to lift ur head and dismiss the negative comments and prove to people that u can do it, u can be successful and as you say working hard towards that goal is the only way you can prove others wrong... This message is very powerful and i think with an attitude like yours, u will get far in life!

As a young person myself i strongly agree with the message u are sending, people's objectives are always to try to bring you down and get the best of you by saying all manner of evil, they will resurrect your past and make you look like you are the worst, but your message is inspirational and i believe that with the positive attitude u have you will make it very far keep going and dont give up!

I really like it when people come on and post positive messages to encourage the delegates it really helps to boost their confidence so I too thanks Rissie and Simmone T.

My experience at The First Class Fitness Centre was wonderful!! The staff are very professional and nice which is always a plus in my books. I love the fact that they made us feel comfortable and took the time to go through different things with us. Seeing as this was my first time ever going to a gym, they really made me feel welcome and made me want to come back. I really think that I will enjoy working with them. And thank you as well Stephanie for having everything organized for us and thanks to Cole as well.

Fillming the infomercials was actually alot of fun! I thought it would be nerve wrecking but we were all confident and finished in the wink of an eye. As the girls all get even closer, we feel more relaxed around each other which also makes it easier.

For my interview I was a bit nervous at first then I thought wellllll I really shouldn't be so I felt much more relaxed. It also gave me an idea of what to expect if I am crowned Miss Barbados World 2010 but the only difference is that there will be many more reporters there at once but at the end of the day they want to know about me so I really have to be confident and very grateful that they are interested.
The Survivor Challenge was soomething out of this world!!!! Lol I really didn't know what to expect but most parts were quite interesting especially the corned beef part LOL but I had fun with the other contestants and it helped us to be more comfortable with each other.
This challenge also taught me alot about life in Barbados. For example, the people that we think may not be able to help us are the people that may help us the most so we should never judge a book by its cover.
