Well it was truly a great day at the "beach clean up" although it was early in the morning. the girls were funny and yes friendships were built. The worries of the pageant left all of us today and we just had true fun. it was AWESOME.:) :)

Thank you to all of the persons in Barbados and possibly abroad who are supporting me and I will do my best to support you!! Anddd I believe that at the end of the competition, everyone will be a winner because we all learnt things to help us presently and further on in life.

Danielle you are such a fun loving individual!!! You make me laugh whenever you crack a joke. Simonne you are really showing me that you are a hard worker and you can enjoy the simple things in life.
I know that at times things will become a little stressful for you but in the end it is the person who perseveres that reaps the success.
Both of you just need to remain focussed, remember consistency is very important and remain people oriented. I cant wait to see you guys at Sunday's rehearsal!!

The HIV/AIDS Sensitzation workshop takes place Sunday 23rd May 2010, at 1:00 pm SHARP the Garrison secondary school. DO NOT BE LATE. The workshop will be conducted by Ms. Alexis Nurse of The National HIV/AIDS Commission. Come prepared to ask questions relating to how to incorporate HIV/AIDS info into your project etc. Bring your note-books, pens & prepare for an interactive session.

A dark skinned lady with natural hair teaching girls pageantry. lol. ammm nah tho. we really need to think of something that up coming contestant are going to stick to because of us. think of it as the MBW contestants challenge for 2010. lollolololol. don't i need to stop. but thanks stephanie for the information.

The HIV/AIDS Worshop with Alexis Nurse was very informative and it cleared some thoughts about the virus. I was not a workshop wasted and I enjoyed the response from Ms.Nurse, she put me at ease when I asked questions during the workshop that I was unsure.
Again thanks to Stephanie Chase for organising the workshop, and to Ms Nurse for spending her Sunday afternoon to inform us more on this pandemic where everyone has a responsibility: to change their attitudes before sexual intercourse and to those who may be living with the virus.

The workshop was indeed a success, giving all our questions a very relevant answer and helping us to understand what we didn't before. Thanks Stephanie for organizing such an informative workshop and thanks also to Ms. Nurse who gave of her time to present the sensitization to us.

Yup I agree with you girls. It was really eye opening because there are so many things that persons don't know about HIV Aids. I can say I learned a lot from the workshop all thanks to Alexis Nurse and Stephanie for getting everything together :)

i was extremely impressed at the level of involvement of so many different Government Ministries in the HIV/AIDS pandemic, it's really a pattern that both developing and developed countries should adopt. provision of medication even in the event of not being able to pay for it is outstanding.
Big thanks to Alexis nurse and Stephanie Chase for organising and executing it all; you have passed the baton to a willing group of girls and we're fully prepared to run with it now.

Many thanks to Stephanie and ms Nurse. The HIV and AIDS workshop was a blast as well as very informative. Our knowledge about the subject really expanded. I believe that we can all enlighten the rest of the public about this virus, the best way that we can communicate this information is through our beauty with a purpose project. The questions and answers that were asked and received made it so much easier for us to do so. Thank you again.

Sounds like it was very enlightening, since i have arrived in Barbados i have seen the impact the AID's virus has effect many through UNNESSARY death's of people and especially children and even after the pageant, we still have to continue with making a impact on changing people's awareness.

Yesterday we had loads of fun at our survivor challenge. running from door to door like crazy talking and interacting with the people of Barbados. No one was rude to us but they were willing to help.To team Tridents, broken or not we came out on top. lol lol. But in all seriousness life lessons were learnt. and a deeper love, understanding and appreciation for our surroundings and our fellow man, is one of the most important lessons we all took from such an event.

I would like to thank everyone who were apart of this journey. It was a learning experience and it taught me to grow up fast, WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!!! I am blessed to have been surrounded by my mom, supporters and the SFC International crew for encouraging me to give of my best. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To the contestants, we have shared moments that I do not think will ever be forgotten. I am glad to have met a group of enthusiatic, and determined young women who has a strong interest in representing their birth right, Barbados.
