Who would have thought that a local "Carnival Queen" competition won by Marvo Manning would have aroused the curiosity of Barbadians with regards to pageantry? This curiosity has evolved into a national annual tradition with numerous young ladies competing for the opportunity to become Miss Barbados World.

As thousands of fans have followed this pageant, the homegrown contest has evolved into a powerful, year-round, national  organization that advances and provides opportunities for these young ladies who become role models.

These young ladies are savvy, goal-oriented and aware. The delegates who become part of the Miss Barbados World Organization display those characteristics in their everyday lives, both as individuals, who compete with hope of advancing their careers, personal and humanitarian goals, and as women who see to improve the lives of others.
